A year ago, our family decided to turn an important page in our life in France to settle in the United States, with Miami as our first destination. Miami, this vibrant city full of contrasts, welcomed us with its boundless energy and cultural diversity. For several months, we discovered lively beaches, tropical heat, and a vibrant city life. However, although rich in experiences, Miami did not fully offer us the family and serene environment we were looking for. After careful reflection, our American adventure took a new turn with a move to Orlando, and more precisely to Celebration, a unique city, founded by the Walt Disney Company in 1994.
From the first days in this new city, we knew we had made the right choice. Celebration is a place where magic and tranquility meet, and where every detail seems to have been thought out to offer an exceptional quality of life to its inhabitants. Located just a few minutes from Orlando's famous theme parks, Celebration perfectly combines the proximity of major tourist centers with a peaceful, almost idyllic neighborhood life.
A City Created for Families
One of the things that immediately appealed to us about Celebration was the human dimension of the city. Unlike the sometimes overwhelming hustle and bustle of Miami, here, everything seems softer, closer to family values. We quickly discovered the local markets that set up every Sunday, where local artisans come to sell their products. It’s a moment that we particularly enjoy as a family, strolling through the streets, tasting local products, and meeting the locals. There’s a real sense of community here, something we had trouble feeling in our previous life in Miami.
The children, Timéo and Elena, have also integrated perfectly into their new school life. They are both enrolled in a school in Celebration, an establishment that, due to its reputation and values, convinced us upon our arrival. Timéo, who is in middle school, and Elena, who is still in elementary school, are learning a little more English every day. It is incredible to see them progress so quickly in this language that, just a few months ago, seemed foreign to them. Their efforts are rewarded with excellent grades, and we are proud every day of what they accomplish. School life at Celebration seems perfectly adapted to their development, both educationally and personally.
An Exceptional Living Environment
Outside of school, our weekends are filled with exploring local activities. Orlando is known for its theme parks, of course, but there’s so much to see and do beyond the big attractions. We’re lucky to live close to some beautiful places for our weekend getaways, from nature walks to lakes to explore to cultural events that regularly bring the city to life. The atmosphere at Celebration is both serene and vibrant, a perfect combination of peaceful living and easy access to endless adventures.
Flourishing Professional Opportunities
Professionally, this move has also allowed me to explore new perspectives. Since we have been in Orlando, I have had the chance to collaborate with new entities and develop partnerships that promise great success for the future. The professional scene here is full of opportunities, and I see that, every day, collaborations are coming to fruition, allowing me to flourish in this new environment.
Julie, for her part, is gradually adapting to this new life. While settling in a new country is never easy, she is gradually finding her place, by also discovering the many facets of this city and building her own network. It is a process that takes time, but we are moving forward together in this adventure with enthusiasm.
A New Horizon for Our Family
In just two months at Celebration, we already feel like we have found our place in this wonderful place. Our children are thriving, we have discovered a real sense of community, and we are starting to feel at home in this magical and peaceful setting.
